I made an enquiry with Tesco customer service HQ. Just had a reply, it appears that two weeks ago the filling station was broken into which resulted in a large loss of stock. I was told that inside the filling station is being
updated and will take another two weeks. After that it will go back to normal with the till inside taking payments. For the time being they are only accepting card payment.
