Although we hear on a daily basis, how gambling ruins many people’s lives, the actor Jamie Fox being the latest celebrity to reveal the cost of gambling to his mental and physical health and his bank balance, it was still surprising to see our local online journal going against the tide with an article promoting gambling at our local Mecca Bingo. I hope the firm paid well for this news story, sorry, advertisement, and it is better gamblers enjoy themselves in ways that support jobs in the local economy rather than splash all their cash online to the benefit of multi-millionaires who stash their profits away in tax havens.
