There goes another one. Another empty building to join the many others.

Good news is the council will soon be employing people to clean up the tumbleweeds ….

Yeah where was the thought process of that? Especially when the retail park at the back of it has been half empty for the past couple of years! They’d be better off putting some greenery where they’re building the new shops and split PC World etc into several smaller sized units that could accommodate the wine warehouse and anywhere else.

All it will take is for Harveys or Dunelm Mill to leave their current site and it’ll be a wasteland.

If they are an issue for you complain to the council. Planning has yet to be granted.

The councillors who will be mostly responsible above anyone else (its his ward) is phil wynne WCBC: Councillor for Brynyffynnon – Phil Wynn

If you do nothing, but it turns out to be an empty shop eyesore, you are to blame too.

Having a say is only any good if they listen to you. The Community Council had a say about the Mines Rescue Station & made valid points about the change of use to student flats with regards to lack of parking space as well as there is already a proliferation of student accommodation in Wrexham and it is already causing problems on Maesgwyn Road”. Imagine entry onto Mold Road on a Saturday Match Day. Other views were also expressed that the training gallery should be restored before other work is carried out, whilst someone else expressed the belief the building’s heritage should not be lost as a result of the conversion. It didn’t even warrant a mention on the Leader on line page.

Everybody who voted for those councillors are responsible. The councillors get away with planning murder because people complain but then still vote them back in.

It really is pathetic planning, but the wine will help, as it will help me cope with living here ;) While we could do with new buildings in the town that look appealing (this doesn’t look appealing), though we do need to start knocking down buildings in town and replacing them and if you let me start i won’t be able to stop ;)

I believe that most Councillors start off with good intentions & want to make the town a better place but then lose their way, unlike politicians for whom it is a career choice. Unfortunately they get sucked into the way of the rest whereby they have to have 6 meetings to make a decision for a light bulb to be changed. They don’t follow things through. They don’t think of the consequences of their actions. They get paid regardless of whether they do a good or rubbish job. I would like to know how many of them have worked for themselves & thereby know the cost of time in the real world. Some councillors were unopposed at the last election.

i don’t believe for one second that when they were elected that their good intentions were even mild, never mind strong. Because if they wanted to change the way the council process works, they would campaigning in public to get it changed. They don’t.

They are in it only for themselves, the power, the prestige and their friends. Of they would say, ‘ I have done nothing wrong… which is true because they don’t do anything at all.’

Great is the need for a Beppe Grillo in wrexham.

I’m not sure an objection based on the fact that there are other shops they could use would be taken seriously by the planning committee.
