In the breaking news, once again trains get delayed or canceled due to “slippery rails” – buahahaha.
Not that it actually affects me right now, but makes me think how is it that in supposedly “3rd world countries” like Poland, Slovakia out Russia trains manage to go through rain, ice and snow, while in the “technically advanced super-power” Britain they come to a halt due to… ehm, what exactly? excess of slugs on rail?
In some countries they just chop all the trees down to stop the problem.
Network Rail have a special train for cleaning all the leaf mulch off the rails. I guess they decided not to bother sending it on the Wrexham-Bidston line this year.
