I took a walk around the town centre today. A lot of rubbish around the peripheries of the town centre. A bit sad to see. Does anybody know what enforcement is in place? I know the council should play they part however, I feel we shouldn’t waste our money on litter collection by the council either.

Get community service offenders to collect litter. Simple.

The bins located on the York Street pavement are an eyesore and emit a disgusting odour at the entrance to Eagles Meadow. They have been there for the last decade. Many Councillors who have attended the Town Centre Forum over the years all acknowledge the problem but nothing has been done . Interestingly many of those Councillors now sit on the Executive Board and now have the power to do something about the problem. Time for action not just words !

Agree, not nice for those going to St Giles for any event especially a wedding or funeral. Provision for bins should be a planning condition and enforced. Again the problem is well known to Councillors.

Please don’t bring Kingdom or any private enforcement ompany back to issue tickets. In Birkenhead a few days ago, a lady was walking with her 2 year old son and he accidentally dropped his biscuit. A Kingdom “officer” then followed her for 10 minutes and actually tried to block her path whilst threatening her with police involvement for “obstruction” for refusing to give him her details. Eventually the lady’s husband came on the scene and the Kingdom “officer” immediately walked off. If anyone is issuing fines for littering in Wrexham then it should be the Councils own in house enforcement team and not a private for profit company
