No customer parking at the Royal Mail delivery office.
Is this not a little inconvenient, even though it’s only a few hundred yards from the town centre?

Empty retail unit just up and across the road with free parking.

That’s true Andy but whether you’re referring to the parking by the new Majestic Wines store or by Dunhelm Mill, it’s for customers only. Also, at times, that Mold Road can be a nightmare to cross.

Perhaps a solution would be to convert one of the many empty stores in the centre of town into a collection point.
Keep the delivery office for official, employee use only but take undelivered mail to the town centre collection point.

Maybe, but extra cost to Royal Mail -[passed to customer] & parking still a problem!

I discovered this at Christmas, whilst at work we had the little note to collect a parcel that could not be delivered.
So went along only to discover the no parking. Absolute pain as I didn’t want to go into town for anything and ended up paying to park and walk. Only to discover it was only a Christmas Card slightly too big and needed an extra 24p postage to be paid and to add insult to injury had to pay £1.50 standard charge to collect it. Really annoying.
So no lovely parcel just a charge of £1.74 to pick up a bl…. christmas card.
    The worlds gone mad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. Not Majestic wine. The empty retail unit next door. And definitely not Dunhelm as TPS goon prowls there.

You just realised this? It’s been no customer parking for a good couple of years now

I’ve never been to collect something from there without being able to find a parking spot in Caxton Place. Maybe I’ve just been lucky.
