Road Works Chester Road

Whenever we have a hard shower of rain the roundabout,at the junction of Chester Road and Powell Road,floods. They have removed the top surface of the road on the roundabout ready for resurfacing , however the drain that fails to clear the water is not part of the works . Surely the Council must be aware of the flooding problem and wouldn’t undertake major works on the roundabout without remedying the flooding !

Roundabout resurfacing complete but a short heavy shower today still resulted in flooding across the road. The water doesn’t drain away properly on the left hand side nearest the Groves site.

Moan, moan, moan …. at least people aren’t losing their homes or worse!
