Cars still parking on the footpath, is it a job for the police or traffic wardens to stop this.

Since march 2008 the Police are no longer responsible for Parking in Wrexham, unless you are obstructing the highway (which you are not if you park on a pavement  ) so its down to the council enforcement officers (think that’s what they call traffic wardens now :) ) and as parking issues are no longer a criminal offence all they can do is hand out fixed penalties if they see someone the flaunting the regulations.

Also bear in mind that the regulations only prohibit parking on the pavement in London, everywhere else in the country it is only recommended unless signed as not allowed :(

The Footway, Carriageway and Verge are all part of the Highway. Under the Highways Act 1980 it is an offence to Willfully obstruct the Highway. This includes the Pavement.

GOOD GOD. That Twitter thread is a disgrace, virtually no punctuation and whining that could rival the Scottish.

It’s apparent that you are not a twitterer or you would be aware that due to the restrictions in the number of characters that can be used punctuation marks are used sparingly. Just get the meaning across!!
