Residents in Acton unite in a bid to beat burglars

DEFIANT residents are fighting back after a spate of burglaries left them feeling vulnerable.

Acton Community Council called a public meeting and invited police to meet with concerned residents.

This was the headline and opening lines of an on-line article in the local rag today! Now, I’m a nosy neigbour and an inquisitive person, but I didn’t hear a dicky bird regarding this meeting – was it advertised anywhere??

UNRELATED point but the capitalisation of first words in articles narks me, but there again I am not a proper writer and know nothing about such standards :)
