How many consultants does it take to change a light bulb?

It depends on how large your budget is.

According to the article on the BBC News website, Wrexham Council have spent over £4,000,000 on consultants fees in recent years , less than some but far higher than other Councils in Wales. Councillors blame the government for the cuts they have made but it is the way they have spent their allocated money that counts too. That four million would have secured many jobs and services.

Price Waterhouse Coopers giving out the the wrong information! They have always been in La La Land and Wrexham and many other Councils have got in line and followed .

Very good, makes you wonder though that it needs a consultancy firm to write winners up and put them into envelopes :)

With Local Elections only a couple of months away, the blame game on who agreed to the Price Waterhouse Contract has started. The real question here is what cuts have Price Waterhouse Cooper suggested that our own Councillors and Chief Officers couldn’t see for themselves? The £2,000,000 that has been shelled out to Price Waterhouse Cooper would have saved a variety of services and jobs . Have the present Council in all its incarnations provided us with value for money ? If the electors of Wrexham are apathetic and don’t come out and use their vote en mass then we will just get a “wash and repeat ” Council.

Looks like Cllr Davies is on the mark. Good work by Wrexham.com in looking into this. Interesting that it was Cllr Pritchard who increased the contract with PWC. His antics On the webcast the other day just show how devious people can be. The sooner he is out the better. I hope for a Labour, Lib Dem, Plaid coalition but do the rest of Wrexham want it? Just have to wait and see. Just need to see past the National politics.
