Has anyone else grown tired of how much the battle against Covid-19 has become so politicised? Most of the country now gripped by a second wave of increasing numbers, soon to be followed by an increasing death-toll. At a time like no other, we need to do what is best for the public health. And what are we seeing? Political posturing, point-scoring and brinkmanship. Public health has become secondary to the party politics of the ‘Big Two’. In the meantime, public health suffers, the NHS struggles due to increasing demands, and the increasing numbers of unseen victims whose urgent treatments are being postponed (or even cancelled when no longer needed!) because medical staff are having to be diverted to help cope with the sheer volume of Coronavirus patients. The health of the economy will improve along with public health. Let’s see the latest top medical advice and see the policies best matched to that. Nice and transparent to all.

I have said from day one that it is political. Just listened to the mayor of Manchester he was just stirring it because he is labour and he hates the conservatives. Before anyone jumps on me, I’m a labour supporter.

It is political but the Manchester issue has brought Labour Mayor and Conservative Politicians in the same region batting for the same side.

The only people politicising everything are hard-right Tories and their foolish, smirking clapping seal supporters.

Socialists endeavour to look after everybody, especially those in need, but Tories treat people like pawns in their stupid frivolous political chess games.

But, whatever, I suspect that I’m wasting my time here, as the platoons of temporarily embarrassed millionaires crawl up to their Conservative masters to clean boot with tongue.
