With the news today that WAG are looking at the possibility of securing the waste land behind the kop, I say about time too!
If the land is surplus to all existing plans, why not build a small stand behind the goal [facing the pitch I suppose], then open up the rest to a pay & display car park. Easy money – little outlay and could be used for match day parking, then public use at all other times, would provide much needed spaces for TC workers and alleviate the pp parking issues at the General station – allowing a proper transport hub to be developed – could even help with hospital overflow with some blue sky-joined up-robust and holistic approach from WAG, WCBC, Beti from the NHS and the railways.
    Just a thought.

PS Me dad took me to my first game at the Racecourse in the old stand on the kop, circa.1968/9. Went home at HT – to noisy!

Don’t get too excited — when did the WG last buy any land? They are not known for land deals that turn into anything — look at the bomb site on St Giles Way that they have owned for quite a while —
The Cop site is also the wrong side of the railway line for them to use VVP – Vibrant Viable funds.
In the past the WG have totally shyed away from investing money in the ground and facilities..

    Don’t mention the Railway Line!
