Paving in King Street

The black white and grey paving on its own looks good, however it doesn’t blend well with its surroundings and is very ” busy” on the eyes.

It’s also been laid unevenly in places.

I haven’t seen it yet, but my wife says that it is awful. Must look

I saw it for the first time last night. My first thought was “is this worth all this
upheaval for?” I don’t think this alone is going to regenerate the area.

The last regeneration in King Street actually contributed to several of the local businesses, mine included, throwing in the towel. Let’s hope value will be added this time

The plans for King Street are up on display in my workplace and when I look at them I can’t help but feel it’s a waste of money. King Street’s real issue is grey, ugly and slap bang in the middle of it. It’ll be the big white elephant in a slightly tarted up room.

All that is really needed are good quality materials that are aesthetically pleasing in their surroundings.

I wonder how long before someone trips up and makes a claim off the council.
