What does the panel think about the idea of charging for parking in Caergwrle?

Bizzare. Other small villages do, and many have withdrawn the parking fee to encourage greater trade back. Why do they want to charge (which body)? What use will the cab be put to? Most importantly, what will be the impact

Is there anything in Caergwrle that would warrant paying for parking?

As an ex resident of Caergwrle I would say that the introduction of parking charges would be pretty disastrous to the local shops as there is very little on street parking
close to them. Paying to park to visit the butcher’s or the Spar doesn’t make much sense when there is free parking at the major supermarkets in Wrexham.

I think charging to park there would be a crime, it would be life changing for the excellent shops and business’ I have listed and would destroy Caergwrle High Street as a vibrant place to shop.

I don’t know who owns the car park, but maybe they are thinking they can make a killing from the new house building in the Llay area, who knows ?

If the houses went ahead we would have a new shop as well so that would not work either.

But is it worth paying for parking for?
