We noticed – well couldnt miss it due to the noise – that the council decided to strim the grass to tidy up Yorke St earlier.

I have also seen a street cleaner going about, so at least the olympics have had a positive outcome for small parts of the town!

Anyone else noticed one-off tart ups that needed doing more often anyway?!

In terms of financial benefits the savvy traders who opened up early in town certainly reaped the benefits today, especially on the High Street!

Puts us on the map- the pics you’ve posted of the town actually look quite nice. But why was one of the torch bearers from Northwich? No-one else in Wrexham interested?

The queues were coming out of the door at Mcdonalds at 8:30! No seats in Nero or Denbighshire travel cafe. Good bit of business for the town. Was disapointing that some places didn’t open early.

The 20 police vans in Rhostyllen boosted mine and the petrol station coffee sales
