Wrecsam_ladParticipantFor the passed couple of weeks there have been yobs riding off road motor bikes up and down the streets on our estate.
They start between midday and 1pm-ish then it goes on for an hour or two then restarts around 5 or 6 pm.
The sound of the engines are deafening, but more important is kids playing on the streets could get hurt or worse.
People are afraid to report it in case of reprisals as these yobs hang around in a gang..
It’s driving us mad.
Anyone else get this crap day in day out ?August 21, 2014 at 2:39 pm #68851
NJonesParticipantWe sued to get some problems but the police stopped it. They have an operation going on in Wrexham over the summer to follow these yobs using trained cheshire Police officers on unmarked off road bikes. Have a look at: Police target illegal use of motorbikes in Wrexham
Raise this as an issue and (according their news article) they will come and try to stop it.

A NuisanceParticipantSending police on bikes is nuts, like the “yobs” are going to stop, if they’re not legal they ain’t going to stop for the plod, it will almost certainly end up in carnage, trained cheshire Police officers the might be, the ones who get a chance to run almost certainly are not….

NJonesParticipantBetter than sending officers in car and the bikes continuing to run riot on a housing estate and eventually hurt someone.

Anyone else get this crap day in day out ?It seems to me that the offenders are easily identified by the residents, so if the plods got off their backsides and used them things sticking out of their arse, the might see who the perpetrators where, the reality is they make good money out of the seized bikes which is why they do what they do…

The old bill only seem to appear when the bikes are not on the road and I’d say safely hidden.
They speak to the yobs then go, an hour or so later out come the bikes.. :mad:August 22, 2014 at 8:56 pm #68857

What a stupid comment. It doesn’t even make sense. Who cares if the ‘plod’ make any any money from this initiative (which I seriously doubt). I’m sure the residents would be happy enough to see the problem eradicated.
