Mark asked via twitter “There has been a huge increase in anti social behaviour and vandalism in Acton recently. Will there be extra patrols on Halloween this year as people are being terrorised in their own home?” a couple of others asked about halloween as well and if there will be extra policing as well.

We have not seen a “huge” increase in reported anti social behaviour in Acton at all. I have just spoken to the local community officer for the area who has spoken to the local councillors who have confirmed there is no “huge increase”. If that is not the case we need to know about it swiftly – please contact your local community officer PC Kerry Evans (e-mail link on our website).

As a whole, we have recorded a reduction across Wrexham town in reported anti social behaviour of 28% this year – Acton does not feature in any of the top 5 wards where these reports are still prevalent.

With regard to Hallloween, our patrol plans are now complete and additional officers will be obn patrol. Also we are hostiong many diversionery activities for local youths as part of operation bank (Be a Nice Guy). learn more about this on Calon FM tomorrow morning at 9am.

Anthony asks: “Id like to say that they’re all doing a great job under difficult circumstances, especially with all of the austerity cuts. My question though is what is NWP plan to tackle the effects of the new prison when it opens? E.g. Offenders being rehoused in the area/increased crime (potentially)”

    Good afternoon,

The prison is situated in the Industrial Estate and that area is covered by Inspector Jackie Downes in Rhos. I am not sighted enough on all of the issues to give you a complete answer so I suggest you e-mail her directly (e-mail address on our web site).

Interestingly, for both clubs that is as close to a cup they have seen recently…
