Er… Darland is a High School. Pupils come from feeder schools in Wrexham, Gresford, Marford and Llay. You really think they should all walk?

I used to get the Arriva bus to Darland in the mornings when I went to school there years ago. There was only a double decker bus available in the morning’s for the school in my area, which tended to be full after the first two stops meaning the Arriva was the only other option if you wanted to get to school! (unless you walked ;) or got a lift)

I can see how irritating it is for people going to work / Chester etc though :D

I didn’t either, but a young lady who goes to Darland who gets the Caia Park bus in the morning told me she’s not allowed on it. The school have deemed the bus for years 7 and 8 only

Now that I didn’t know. What a silly policy. A journey that usually takes 45 minutes can take up to twice as long with the school kids on.

I wouldn’t send my kids to St Davids, would you? There are also a few other high schools in Wrexham but having 2 super schools doesn’t mean parents think that is the right choice for their children.
