The site on the St Giles way opposite the parish church would be ideal. Bringing more people into the town centre. The site is also in the ownership of the Council. Maybe they have already made the phone call !

That’s a good shout, a prime “inner city” location!

There was also recent mention of FI REM planning on providing space for a hotel on the industrial estate – https://fi-rem.com/news/industrial/plans-for-growth-at-wrexham-industrial-estate/ – Not as good for tourism but would be a great boon for the international companies with locations there.

Maybe it will be the final piece in the jigsaw to achieve “city” status!

They can build it somewhere where it will add to traffic congestion. That way it is built in line with everything else around here.

I’m sure when the Kings Arms pub and surrounding buildings were demolished it was so the area could be developed and a hotel was part of the planned development.

Why not the Groves? Kill two birds with one stone before it becomes an even longer saga about an eyesore than it already is?

The Welsh Development Agency bought the site originally from its previous owners. When did they sell the old brewery site to the council?

Well known Wrexham character Bobby Gray owned the site for quite a while

Welsh Assembly did own it but passed it to the Council. The Council are current owners.
