DerekJacksonParticipantFollowing the announcement last week that Wrexham Council is to set up trading businesses officials have been seen in various eateries around Wrexham looking at food options for weddings. Now that the Guildhall is used for weddings they are seeking assistance with the potential conversion of the Council chamber into a restaurant for wedding meals.
There has been much talk about being environmentally friendly so a special heat exchange cooking system will be introduced capturing all the hot air from meetings and using it for heating food.
The surplus food will be used in the mayors palour to reduce the hospitality bill and the bride will be encouraged to donate her bouquet for the Mayor to give out when he visits pensioners for their birthdays.
It is hoed that the income generate and cost reductions on the Mayors costs will enable the Council to generate a surplus.
The addition of the BBQ under the bandstand will help move the anti social behavior to another area. The butcher on Queens Square is expecting a major boom in sales as people buy their meat fresh before the weddings.
Well done Wrexham Council for your vision.April 1, 2014 at 9:10 am #67185

Well done Wrexham Council for your vision.I’ve often thought whether this would work. Llywn Isaf is such a missed opportunity. Using unused ground floor space for cafe/bar outlets that spilt out to outdoor seating during the summer, together with a good quality play area (similar to what was recently done at Alyn Waters) could transform the area into a destination. Very continental.. :)

99DylanJonesParticipantNot sure if it is a joke- if I was in the commercial catering business I would certainly like to be given the opportunity as there are a number of good ideas- real good thinking outside of the box which is what is needed in Wrexham.
