I believe the M is for market. I may be wrong though.

    Its stands for

    Oriel Methdalwyr

To be born Welsh is to be born privileged, not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with music in your blood, and poetry in your soul.

They are going to get a consultation company in to talk about it, then ask the public what they think.

The M could be for market or marchnad. Or Maelor.

Perhaps once it’s open and the people of Wrexham have had a look they might come up with their own interpretation of the M – could be anything from Oriel Madness to Oriel Magnificent.

If the M is English, then Oriel M is itself bilingual ;-)

I suspect locals will continue to refer to it as the former People’s Market, with a rueful tone.
