[quote quote=124263]On December 5th we were told there would be a meeting of all parties, it is now December 16th, how long does it take to arrange a meeting? As suggested before, meet at fence, remove a piece each job done. Ribbon and scissors can be provided if official opening required !

Now that’s just plain silly. First they need a meeting to arrange a meeting, then they’ll have to wait for a new ipad to put the minutes on. Next consultants have to evaluate if opening it up is cost effective. Then a meeting to discuss consultants findings and arrange a highways H+S site visit. They’ll decide the junction is 2mm narrower than regs state so will have to be altered. Temp traffic lights up then while they carry out work (probably a week after temp lights went for signs and line work). Another inspection by highways followed by site visit from council to have a look. Then a meeting to agree a date of opening, 6month statutory period then of notices going up to say it’s opening. Meeting to confirm opening date followed by opening day with councillors there for photo call announcing all parking problems at the hospital will be a thing of the past (483 Posthouse jct ring any bells?) New entrance road will open for 3 days until 2 clueless drivers prang into each other then it’ll be coned off until an investigation into what can be done to improve the safety record of said entrance.
