[quote quote=176896]Perhaps now that Ian Lucas is no longer the MP for Wrexham, we can reflect on his contribution to a recent debate in the House of Commons which will explain the reason for him not supporting the result of the referendum or the peoples vote, call it what you like. Perhaps he knew the real story all along….

Problem is – to those who want Brexit the legality/illegality of the Leave campaign means nothing to them in terms of getting the goal they are after. It is no different the world over – wilful political blindness over corruption and even killings if it means their particular political viewpoint is allowed to succeed.
It’s not even anything new in this country – so many people supported and cheered on the killings and deaths of soldiers and civilians in the internationally illegal Iraq war. Because the likes of Blair and Bush backed by the mainstream media were able to use language and bravado that could justify it. In many ways the deception over Brexit is tame in comparison, but it doesn’t make it any more or less savoury.
This is just how the world works – the powerful bias the present and historical views of events to favour them. Remember when Russia took the Crimea region and killed lots of Ukrainians, remember the brutality in Catalonia stopping their right to self determination. Most people forget as they are cowed to do so, or it is just not important enough in their lives to be affected by it.
