In the 1960’s we were told that we should not have big families as the world was over populated.
Baby boomers born after WW2 are the cause of more pensioners. It is a temporary thing. We will die off. Many of us baby boomers are doing voluntary work & are not all are little old dears sitting at home.
Schools had to increase in size in the late 1970’s, early 80’s. Schools were having to have extra classrooms to cope.
A programme on TV called ‘Benefits Britain’ was saying about the huge unemployment in South Wales. Why then do we need so many extra people to pay taxes when our own, including young people leaving university can’t get jobs.
Our children & grandchildren will struggle to get care in their old age due to over population now. Immigrants of today will be the pensioners of tomorrow. Will we need to import still more people 20/40 years down the line to pay taxes to pay for their care?
Build on agricultural land at your peril. People need to eat & even convenience food has to be grown.

Sorry for above. Still don’t know how to edit. I know that it isn’t entirely relevant but statistics drive me mad. Statistics, ie opinion polls, told us that the vote would be to remain in the EU & they were wrong as they frequently are. Got on my soapbox I’m afraid.
