Today the Wrexham Leader printed a wholly misleading article about the amount of EU funding coming into the area over the past 10 years- the figure of £15 million is grossly undervalued

It is surprising that the only figure highlighted in the lead article in the Leader 27th June was only provided by Wrexham Council.Not knowing what question that was actually asked but if it was Council EU funding then we can only assume that they gave the right figure — if however you need to know the full level of funding coming into Wrexham then it is likely to be double that of the £15 million quoted.
There has been significant research funding channelled through Glyndwr University , Coleg Cambria has been involved with the Erasmus programme, Communities First has lots of EU funded job support staff, various arts projects, children’s Genesis project, Engagement Gateway. Cefn Mawr Town improvement, Ebeneezer Chapel Cefn, King Street bus station and surrounding area.
The list goes on – at a time of uncertainty people need to be given full facts and at present that has not been portrayed in your article.
Perhaps Derek Vaughn the MEP for the area can provide a more accurate figure so that the people from Wrexham will actually know how much they are going to lose due to the exit– one thing is bound to be certain is that Wales wont get it’s fair share of the so called EU savings if they carry on using the Barnet formula.So over the last ten years the UK taxpayers paid the EU £130,000,000,000 130 billion quid and they gave us some back.

Oh according to this page the amount is more like 8 Billion pounds.
Andy why are you using a link to figures that are 10 years old 2006 was a totally different economic state for the country– the year the National Assemblky for Wales was established

You also have not made any reference to non devolved budget issues such as Welfare Payments. Pension, Police, Military amongst a whole raft of other services that are UK wide.
You also need to recognise that the current Barnet Formula for allocation of funds is accepted as not being appropriate by ALL political parties.
