Just a thought WCBC perhaps there wouldn’t be quite so much rubish to clean up on the bypass if the regular clean up crews had not been stopped six months ago.

I’m not condoning the littering but the council knew the issues when they stopped the clean up teams.

Easy solution– Community Service for prisoners when the Prison open in Wexham= clean roads for ‘no cost’

No chance, Health and Safety plus you would get the do gooders complaining.

Plus the Prison Service will have to bear the cost of the transport of the prisoners and their guards to carry-out this “no cost” work.

Don’t be daft PTW, they need a fixed abode to get a bus pass!
    FYI the41busonlygoesasfarasthebusstationandthentheChesterbuswouldonlydropthemattheGresfordroundabout. Interesting that.

I would agree with the idea though, why shouldn’t they do community service like this, our council tax / tax must go somewhere.

I see every day, people breaking the law and given Community Service as a punishment for their wrong deeds. Surely these people could spend one day a fortnight collecting litter not just off the bypass but the surrounding areas of Wrexham. I walk most day’s from the Mold Road roundabout into town and the litter in that area is disgusting. It is not setting a very good impression of Wrexham when visitors travelling into town are faced with litter on both sides of the road and nobody seems to do anything about it.

Is community service enforced? Who double checks?

Or better yet, the dirty sods who dump their rubbish in the first place could take some pride in the town and take their crap home?

Perhaps we could give cameras to the prisoners and give them a job as litter wardens and then get people to pick up their mess.. name and shame
