Don’t know but it wouldn’t come as a surprise. Without them the entrance and exit from the Premier Inn would be a nightmare, specially trying to get out and heading towards the town centre.
Be interesting to see what they come up with.

think it would be a nightmare with the lights there too! i used to park in there and about 7/8 ago when it was jaques yard , he used to charge a £1 a day for parking (very cheap when you have to pay everyday when working in town) and it was very popular, and it was a pain getting out then!

There are temp ones there now to control the single lane. This morning both were stopped to let a lorry out of the development site, not the speediest of exits I know, but the queues were past the Turf to the speed camera and would imagine similar the other side.

Not sure what the answer is, no right turn and send them to the B&Q roundabout if they want to come back in?

The original planning docs did state the junction would be light controlled with pedestrian crossings.

I would imagine they will only be triggered when a pedestrian activates the crossing or a vehicle comes out of the Premier Inn.

Also I wonder how they will regulate parking there, i can imagine it will be a pretty handy place to park on match days ;)

Oh Heavens to Betsy. I didn’t think about permanent traffic lights there. I have been muttering to myself every time I am held up by the temporary ones. Imagine the snarl ups if the student flats come to fruition as well. And football crowds if Wrexham are playing well. Well Tony Blair will get his way in Wrexham. Everyone will have to turn to their bikes. The highway code doesn’t apply to cyclists. I wish that I were 40/50 years younger.

In a few you enter and exit the car park via a barrier, which you can enter freely but must obtain a keycode from reception to leave.

No idea if they’d do it here.

As usual I doubt WCBC have organised this. This area would probably benefit from a development of a new road from New Rd Rhosddu up to by the Maelor similar to what was done in Crewe a few years back.

If they need a permanent solution they could put lights there with an induction loop in the hotel exit, so that when a car covers the loop the main road lights would turn to red and let him out. This way 99% of the time the main road lights would be on green!
