Ian Lucas has put his Wrexham house up for sale for a mere £425K comrades – no doubt he has a similar valued house in London! Does he know something about his future that he isn’t telling us? Has Wrexham Momentum given him notice of deselection? Wonder if he plans to retire in Wrexham or head back to Oswestry?

With Cllr Atkinson having a pay rise from £13k basic councillor pay, to the £29k a year Lead Member salary PLUS his window round, i heard he is buying it from Ian

I’m sure Mr Lucas is simply selling his house and has put it up at market value. As a mere MP he does not control the complex market forces that lead to house valuations. Let’s criticise someone for working hard for his constituents, and unbelievably making profit whilst he has done that. Jealousy is a fickle mistress.

I totally agree, but can you imagine what the usual socialist trolls would have posted if this had been a Tory MP! The main point of my post though, was if this signifies potential retirement / deselection. It must be pretty frustrating for him considering he disagrees with the views of his constituents on Brexit and is at complete odds with the leadership of his party.

I’m shocked there are properties worth anything like that much in Wrexham.

You should read the property paper, there are properties for over half that in Caia Park ward.

£400K in Gresford/Marford is fairly ordinary, Marford Hill would average closer double that.

They must have electricity and running water to command such a premium.

Are such amenities common to the area yet?
