Andrew as an avid reader of these Foruums this is an open question to you – I wonder if you are prepared to answer?
Wrexham First and then Westminster or Wrexham First and then Cardiff
An avid lurker eh? Must be observing with all the powers of response of someone with locked in syndrome.
If I were him I would certainly want to respond to some of the criticism here.
I’m not even sure the good people of Wrexham really know all that much about him other than that fact that he’s an avid cleaning fanatic. His reputation is as murky as all Tories are. Would be interesting to hear from the good people of Ross on Wye as to how his tenure was as a councillor there – as here we have no record of his elected competence.

JamsindahouseParticipant
I have never voted Tory but I hate to say it, Labour have nothing about them and nobody trusts them to get us through Brexit. The Tories at least ‘seem’ to have a plan.
Please tell me your thoughts have changed after the recent disaster of T.M’s visit to Wrexham, the U-Turn on one of their manifesto policies and the fairer & fully costed manifesto provided bu the Labour party?
I can’t see how anyone can say the Tories have a plan, not without laughing afterwards.

99DylanJonesParticipantWhat is at stake with the election is what sort of later life you want – that is assuming you live long enough due to less investment in the Health and Social Care Services — services that non of us really want to use but are essential. No one ever knows when the services may be wanted for YOUR mum or dad, YOUR child, YOUR partner.
No one can go through life without at some point needing the service for themselves or someone close.
For the 20% of the population that can afford to pay into private medical care that is fine – for the rest ????
Under a Conservative Government YOU and I will be paying more for less and less service and potentially society will start seeing a decrease in overall life expectancy.
At least with Jeremy Corbyn you would get a Prime Minister and Labor Government that meets with people not someone who has perfected the art of running away from people – Andrew bringing TM to Gresford gave a photo opportunity but also showed you non Leader to be non engaging — oh an by the way why didn’t you the local Conservative higher achy go and talk to the public who turned out for the orchestrated visit to apologise to them for non engagement.
Vote Labour all the way for a healthier future for all.

welshman1000ParticipantAfter reading all the anti Conservative comments by our unbiased socialist friends for many weeks about someone that they personally don’t know someone has to make a sensible comment on behalf of our local candidate Andrew Atkinson who is by the way born & bred in Wrexham and would make an excellent MP.
The Labour party via MP, AM or Wrexham Council have “run” the area from year dot and what issues are there; oh sorry it must be someone else’s fault not the Labour Party.
I would ask the ordinary voter to weigh up all these postings on social media and on Thursday vote for change in Wrexham —June 6, 2017 at 10:38 am #132484
This general election is not limited to just the local area, this is a chance for everyone to make a difference to the UK as a whole.
When you read the manifestos for each party there is only one who is proposing changes that would radically improve this country.
Austerity cuts have not worked and the UK is in more debt than before the cuts began.
We need to stop providing lower corporation tax at the cost of cuts to publicly funded services.
How can anyone say it’s better for a company to save a bit more money to reward to their shareholders, than it is for them to pay a bit more (still less then most other countries) and provide much needed services for the sick & elderly?

welshman1000Participantyes a good point about Labour’s “proposed” increase of Corporation Tax to 26% when the Conservatives intend to decrease it down to 17% to stimulate growth and create jobs;
I think of all the thousands & thousands of small 1 Director Limited Companies supporting a small number of employees in each Company nationally that have a relatively low profit margin and now they could
be looking at a 9% TAX INCREASE across the board. — hm. — someone’s going to lose out — bye bye jobs.— Labour working for the many — not.
Oh and if minimum wage goes up to £10 per hour bye bye more jobs.— hm food for thought.June 6, 2017 at 11:19 am #132488
welshman1000ParticipantOh while I remember can someone explain to me about THE GARDEN TAX and how much will it cost me.
Is it true that it is part of the Labour Party Manifesto or is that incorrect?June 6, 2017 at 11:19 am #132489
Please review This Site The 26% rate will only apply to larger companies, smaller companies will only see an increase to 21%.
The current level of 19% has done nothing to stimulate growth or create jobs, all it has done has increased share holders dividends, so how will and extra 2% drop help the majority of people?
The “Trickle Down” method does not work as the savings are not being passed on and it is ridicules to think this will change if they are allowed to generate even larger profits.
If the minimum wage goes to £10 then more people will have extra cash to spend, so it could actually increase revenues (glass half full)
