Sounds very much like grounds for an FOI request if I ever heard one.

That being said, Labour on a national level are currently a joke. Their policies sound attractive, but are completely unworkable without substantially increasing the national debt. It’s more of a optimistic wishlist than an actual manifesto.

Then there’s the Tories wonderful track record, increasing the national debt from just above £1trn when they came in in 2010 to £1.72trn this year, whilst achieving sweet FA. Mr Osbourne’s Austerity’s magic numbers machine. I don’t think Hammond’s grasp of numbers are very strong & stable either.

A lot of people believe this false narrative that Labour are poor at running the economy and the Conservatives are so much better. If you trawl the Internet the true picture can be revealed. I encourage you to look. Try sites such as http://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2016/03/13/the-conservatives-have-been-the-biggest-borrowers-over-the-last-70-years/ and there are plenty more to view.

The way this Conservative administration pumps out the fake news reminds me very much of Trump in the USA. The rant about The European Union trying to meddle in this election, the fake news on Labour and the economy and the constant narrative of “we need a strong leader to negotiate Brexit” when in reality Theresa May showed her weakness by calling a snap election.

I am no Labour sympathiser or a Labour voter…but I am extremely concerned about the people of Wrexham voting in a Conservative and one as shallow as Atkinson and Baynes in Clwyd South. If there was an alternative I would vote that way but there isn’t and my vote this time is to ensure that the Conservatives can be held to account and not have a bigger majority. I know if Wrexham falls and Clwyd South that there majority will be too great.

The problem with most MPs and AMs is that at a local level they say what local people want to hear — once they move to Cardiff or Westminster they become the voice piece for their respective Leader- any chance of radical free thinking does not have a place in modern day politics. Anyone who dares start to raise any issues soon have their wings clipped by the party Whip. The momentum to achieve change is long winded and often looses any steam or an ‘offer’ of a extra job is given to try and bring people into line.

It would not matter if it was Atkinson or Uncle Tome Cobbley the impact for Wrexham would be the same- Conservative Policies with no localism.

Only one developed country has increased health spending by more than the Conservatives have in the UK over the past 5 years.

    Ed Conway, Sky News:
And it certainly wasn’t the Welsh Labour Government.

Of course Ed Conway of Sky News and a columnist of The Times is going to be completely unbiased when it comes to delivering information about the Conservatives. His previous tenures at The Daily Mail and the Telegraph also helped him to develop a well rounded background on full factual truths.

If we look further into Eds claims, we can see why health care spending under the Tories is up under the OECD figures methodology. Billions of pounds of spending previously classified under social care funding was now able to be reclassified under health care spending, thus accounting for an apparent spike in spending.

This is creative accounting and cooking of the books in its finest form. Something the Tories have down to a fine art. Always look beyond the headline figures.

We should not forget that the Teresa May Tories and Jeremy Corbyn Labor Manifestos do not fully apply to Wales as there are significant devolved powers. Figures about investment in Health are irrelevant in real terms for Wales other than looking at the spend per head on both sides of the border. Althogh devolved we are incredibly lucky here in our part of Wales that we are close to so many Centre of Excellence and leading specialist services I Liverpool, Manchester and along the border- we cold ever possibly develop these services I Wales as there are just so few specialist Consultants in the whole of the NHS.
If elected who will Andrew Atkinson’s boss be — Teresa May in Westminster or R.T. Davies for Welsh Conservatives I Cardiff?
Andrew as an avid reader of these Foruums this is an open question to you – I wonder if you are prepared to answer?
Wrexham First and then Westminster or Wrexham First and then Cardiff
