This has all the makings for a Channel 4 quiz show “Who gets the parking spot”,is it A. The porter,B.The nurse or C. The surgeon.

I would say the porter, he knows it all.[/quote]

And because he has the stronger union backing him.

The hospital parking problem has finally been solved …..

Public told “Use public transport to cut hospital car parking”

The chairman of North Wales’ health board is encouraging staff and patients to car share and use public transport in a bid to solve problems at busy hospital car parks. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

If I’m not mistaken, using public transport means 2 buses for most residents of Wrexham as local buses don’t go past the hospital.

If people who park there and worked in the city centre didn’t park there, their would be plenty of room. Also could the people who park in the motorcycle bay’s park elsewhere.

They have also added to the number of people/cars that visit the hospital daily , by closing the Grove Road site for taking blood samples and sending people onto the Maelor Hospital site to a portacabin named Ty Madoc. This has added to the already chaotic parking situation. Adding upwards of 12 to 36 extra cars per hour depending on how many staff they have working taking blood samples. One appointment every 5 minutes per nurse. Grove Road had good parking for disabled, taxis, cars and bus stop close by.

Regarding the Path Lab, if you have a late afternoon appointment it is usually easier to park.

Retinography was also off site but is now back at the Maelor.

I wonder why they don’t use off site where possible to relieve the parking. There has to be a reason I’m sure.
