I think the whole issue is something that should be raised with the Wales Audit Office to investigate how the Council could justify the assessing over of the and for £1.
The Haywards Field Group should submit a Freedom of Information request for copies of all correspondence between the Council and the Developer. I would suggest that the Council can’t refuse the request in the grounds of commercial sensitivity as the passing over for a £1 clarey has no commercial value. Also request a copy of the deed of ownership of the land and not just a copy of the Land Registry detail – as there have been examples of Local Authorities claiming ownership for land as information had been lost in the midst of time and only at the last minute have locals obtained the information from historical records.
If yu use the site http://www.whatdotheyknow.com for the FOI all members of the public can see the information.

Andy Lewis (head of housing) said in June last year there was a public open space assessment currently being undertaken. It seems this was not the case.

The contract was not published until December. Not only lies but yet more taxpayers money wasted on consultants that are not needed. Why not just ask the community councils to submit their own public open spaces? Instead it seems a company in Bury was awarded the contract.

I wonder how much that cost us?
