“We discovered too many care homes didn’t really follow procedures in the way they could have, but we’re learning lessons all the times”

The elderly were shipped out of the hospitals without tests for covid. A certain guaranteed way to spread the virus. Who instructed that these people were sent to the unprepared homes I wonder?

There will be an enquiry eventually into this, but remember tests were limited in number to begin with and their accuracy has been questioned. The idea of a-symptomatic patients wasn’t appreciated and only those with certain symptoms were even put forward for testing. The question is, did medical professionals knowingly place covid patients back into care homes?

Wales Online 07/07/2020 “In England, it was decided on April 14 that everyone sent into care homes would be tested. The Welsh Government took two weeks longer to introduce the same rule.

Wales’ health minister Vaughan Gething said the government’s slow approach to changing its policy on testing was due to the “advice and evidence” available to him at the time.”
