There does not appear to be anything new in this proposal for the Nine Acre as it has been mooted before over the past 20 years plus- including Alexander being moved when ASDA had funding for the site developments.

Looks like the talk about Rhosddu school bursting and needing new promises will also feature in these proposals in the near future.

Goodness Derek you must have some friends with loose tongues in the council, it’s definitely going to be Rhosddu school – bursting and needing new premises as you say – and just round the corner – Ysgol Rhosddu Naw Erw

Not St Mary’s Brymbo but St Mary’s Roman Catholic School on Pen-y-Bryn.
St. Mary’s had rejected the Groves site so it could be a toss up between Rhosddu and St Mary’s to move onto the Nine Acre.

It would make more sence for Rhosddu school to move as its nearer, you couldn’t expect little children to walk all that way from St Mary’s Roman Catholic School on Pen-y-Bryn.

Ther are special bus arrangements for some Catholic children to be taken to school- it is different arrangement to ordinary State schools

Well Derek, you were spot on again. For a 10 bonus points, who is moving to the groves building? I heard WCB signed a 10 year lease with Woolworths a few years ago?
