Where was Robbie Savage when Plas Madoc was closed & reopening? Shame to see him actively supporting a huge profit-making rival instead of a community-run facility he publicly claimed to love. Talk is cheap, but I supposed he’s made a career out of it!

A leopard never changes it’s spots, when will people ever learn?  A quick search would have provided all the info on their failure last time.

This sort of sharp practice was what got TF into trouble the last time they were in Wrexam!  So Simon, may I suggest that your friend tells TF to shove the contract where the sun does not shine and then crowd fund a fighting fund to cover any legal costs.  There are sure enough people that were ripped off last time to help out and see TF done for good.

    Just a thought

Firstly, thank you for all your messages. We are available from 6am until 10pm in the club tomorrow, you are more than welcome to pop in or call up and we would be happy to clarify any concerns.

The £100 cancellation fee is incorrect information, we are not sure where this had come from and it is simply not true.

The photos you are describing were clearly labelled as ‘Sample Photos’ and were used to illustrate there would be a track, it was our intention to show track images of straight tracks, coupled with the written description of a ’20m Sprint Track,’ and a mock-up video tour of the full facilities on the website. We apologise for your confusion over the track, but we would have been more than happy to confirm exactly what was available here had you approached us at any time. We are extremely proud of our facilities here at Total Fitness Wrexham and have absolutely no need to overstate what is on offer.

We are very happy to discuss any further issues you may have, please do give us a call in the morning on 01978802020
If your friend would still like to cancel their membership, we would kindly oblige.

    Thank you
    Total Fitness Wrexham

Well done to the TF Wrexham manager.  My pal ‘Simon H’ went down there today and he cancelled the membership. Happy days.  I also expressed my personal gratitude on the issue via the TF Main Facebook page.
That’s 3 people I know who have signed up before seeing the equipment, visited the venue on Open Weekend, changed their mind and had their membership cancelled.

Despite thanking TF today for resolving a friend’s membership upset at discovering the new club did not have a circular running track, as advertised on their Club website page, I am now no longer able to comment on their Facebook bulletins.  Presumably for raising this issue on wrexham.com.  They wouldn’t have removed the picture of a circular running track on their website Wrexham club page if it wasn’t right, would they?

I, and many other people, have also received criticism on their Facebook page for pointing out a ridiculous, and obvious and under-hand marketing campaign by TF employees.   People from Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Liverpool, working at TF Head Office etc…..all TF employees starting threads on the Total Fitness Wrexham Facebook page, and replying to threads etc promoting the new club under the guise of being prospective Wrexham club members.

It’s comparable to restaurant & hotel owners writing their own reviews on Tripadvisor.

    In my opinion it’s naughty.

    Hi Simon

We are not sure what criticism you are referring to, however all our team are welcome to reply to questions, comments and suggestions on our Facebook page. The whole team is extremely proud of our great facility here and are excited to be bringing Total Fitness back to Wrexham.

We do not tolerate any form of harassment, inappropriate language, sabotage by other gyms, defamation or spreading of lies and rumours on our Facebook page and anyone found doing so may have been blocked for this. We do however welcome feedback and are more than happy to have an open discussion with any genuine queries, as we have shown.

If you would like to send an email to [email protected] with your full name I can see if you are able to access the Wrexham Facebook page.

For any future complaints, it would be both quicker and more appropriate to contact us directly to discuss your questions and ensure the information you have (and are publishing) is correct. Please send your phone number to the email above if you wish to do so. We would be glad to clear up any issues you may have.

The membership in question was cancelled this morning without question, so we will assume this matter concluded unless otherwise contacted.

    Thank you
    Total Fitness
