The War Memorial Hospital sourced a hundred extra beds on September 22nd 1934 in anticipation of the extra need for hospital care following news of the Gresford Colliery Disaster. Unfortunately the extra beds became an irrelevance but it shows how quick they were to react, develop a plan and implement it.
