It is rather sad that the fine upstanding citizens of the Coed y Glyn estate should object to the housing of 4 people with disabilities within their community. Where should they live?
I know of one such accommodation on a private estate in Ruabon which doesn’t appear to detract from the community. There but for the Grace of God go any one of us or a member of our families.

Pleasantly surprised at your post, zinger.

I’m saddened but not surprised that the right-wing new Conservative MP took the side of those who are against these disabled people.

Timmy, your so predictable, do stop being so bitter, its a BRIGHT New Year despite your constant remoaner bleating’s. People are against such proposals not because of their political affiliations, but because of their own selfish, resistant to any change attitudes.

Indeed, Lilly, and the Conservative MP took the side of these people you rightly criticise.

Nothing to do with politics, more to do with generosity of spirit.

Politics is inextricably linked to life. The choice of candidate that wins has a direct effect on people’s lives. In this case, the Wrexham electorate has chosen a Conservative MP and that has had a detrimental effect on these disabled people. Instead of supporting them, she chose to try and leave them with no good place to live. Fortunately, this time she failed.

Likewise, the Conservatives’ general policy on disability has, according to the United Nations, caused ‘grave’ and ‘systematic’ abuses of disabled people’s human rights, something that has also taken up by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Own it. When you vote Conservative, you vote to visit extra misery onto disabled people. You would have thought that they have enough difficulties to deal with in life.

Very true and we will see the new Tory MP show her right wing leaning on many more occasions to come.

She did jump on the wrong bandwagon.

Many of the people who voted for her didn’t do so because they wanted or expected her to do things like this, they just wanted what they voted for in the EU referendum. The official result was ‘leave,’ so I acknowledge that they’re right to feel aggrieved.
