wrexviewParticipantRowan Food cases of covid19 have risen to 97 , with Track and Test taking place.Hopefully those with a positive test result are engaging with Track and Test, it will be some days before we get numbers of those successfully Tracked and Tested. Those results will tell us if Covid 19 is spreading in the wider community.

TruthbeknownParticipantWelsh testing and the reporting of findings is still the fiasco it was, correct information supposedly supplied on the daily updated dashboard is completely different to media headlines. Adding all confirmed cases since these stories broke is still way below reported figures. Who is telling the truth!! Updated data is 23 confirmed in Wrexham and only 47 in whole of Wales, 11 of these confirmed as hospital settings.
Media headlines of 97 confirmed cases at Rowan and 2-300 at 2 sisters, where is the data ?. We and this government are supposed to use the data to decide on how we proceed with lockdown, how can incorrect figures be used.
For the general public to have kind of security in knowing that the virus is receding, PHW figures and data needs to complete and correct.
If the media is correct then its a complete and utter disgrace from a government more concerned with scoring political points than it is for the welfare of its citizens. If PHW data is correct then the media need to be held to account.

zingerParticipantPHW say 23 tested positive today in Wrexham out of 29 for Betsi Cadwaladr. 0 on Anglesey. 2 each in Gwyedd, Conwy & Denbighshire. Don’t know if there is a connection with Rowan. The numbers given by the media when this first came out were over a few days.

Maureen GrayParticipantWrexham GP calls for local lockdown as concerns mount over Rowan Foods coronavirus outbreak : so who said it had gone away and was now safe? Schools are due back Monday 29th.I know if I had young kiddies, that’s the last place they would be going. Wait till August and consider the options then.

TruthbeknownParticipantWhat a load of tosh from a doctor well known for loving the limelight.Perhaps if he concentrated a bit more on his practice,it would be a better use of the money we pay him. What are we going to do, set up police roadblocks, all in Hazmat suits around local villages.
We have to live with this virus for the foreseeable future, kids are out and about everywhere, groups of 10-15-20 all playing together. Its obviously receding and its much much safer than it was, use some common sense when out and about and the chances of catching it now are virtually nil.

zingerParticipantNorth Wales Live – Houses of multiple Occupancy have served two puposes in Anglesey. “Having a significant number of workers sharing houses and travelling along the same public transport routes has “in some ways” made it easier to track and contain the spread of coronavirus linked to an Anglesey chicken plant, the health minister has suggested.”
I wonder if is a similar case in Wrexham.

wrexviewParticipantAnother 9 new cases of covid19 confirmed at Rowan Foods today and the plant remains open.Time for the companies that deal with Rowan Foods start asking questions re Health and Safety of the people producing their products. No quicker way to get improvements from Rowan Foods than the threat of a contract being lost !

JaneJParticipantAnother worrying development is the delivery of huge supplies of oxygen to the three field hospitals yesterday as they have not even been used yet — is this a clear indication of the expectation from health officials. WG aren’t spending money on this unless there is an expectation of needing the facilities,

wrexviewParticipantThere is now a total of 166 positive cases of Covid19 in Rowan Foods, the plant remains open according to Mark Drakeford. How is this outbreak affecting the Maelor Hospital? Have they had an increase in Covid19 admissions?
June 26, 2020 at 12:58 pm #188579
newwalesParticipantI guess most of the people have no symptoms so did not even know they had the virus so should not affect the hospital.
