Benjamin I understand that sampling is not all but as everyone in 2 Sisters has now been tested it show they have acknowledged the need there so unsure why Rowan is still only at a sampling stage.

In view of 70 confirmed cases in Rowan Foods in Wrexham , why is the factory still open? 2 Sisters Factory on Anglesey has been closed presumably for a deep clean. Now Rowan Foods has been escalated to an “outbreak” surely closure of the factory will follow and deep cleaning will be done.

It’s been 2 weeks since 350 people gathered in Bell Vue Park for the BLM protest now we have 70 people infected at a local Factory, I wonder if there is anyconnection

This is very worrying! 70 confirmed cases at Rowan Foods, 1000 test results outstanding according to Vaughan Gething.

I dread to think what the numbers will be in Wrexham during the next couple of weeks or so.

Town is open and some people are social distancing less and less.

I feel like a doom and gloom messenger but I think we should brace ourselves for lockdown here.

Wonder if there is any connection between the two factories , Rowan Foods and 2 Sisters? Raw materials, deliveries or packaging could be a common factor. Have Health and Safety or Environmental Health looked at the possibility of any connection?

there are a number of links between the two factories – such as common deliveries but also some of the agency workforce will have travelled between sites and over the border to English processing plants.

One issue is that a number of the agency staff have their accommodation provided and unfortauanly if they are not earning they have no where to live – this is possibly a contributory factor with many workers although showing signs of illness need to stay in work to keep the roof over their head.

I hope that there is a n in depth review of the symptoms and the living conditions of the workers as these clearly must be impacting.

I cannot understand though how a Health Minister can stand up and say an outbreak is not affecting the local community — are we all to believe that everyone at the factory lives on site!! clearly not the case so every shop they have entered could be a spreader zone in the community.

When you say accommodation is supplied , do you mean by the agency or the food company?

For all our technological advances in the 21st Century, a home tied to a job is reminiscent of the 19th century , in many ways life hasn’t improved for many.
