Can someone please explain why a survey that starts with question one being:
“Wrexham County Borough Council is looking to get your views on the leisure, sport and activity provision in the local area”
It will then only allow you to select the 4 Council facilities and then ‘other’ — if you click other then you are told you cannot complete the survey.
What a nonsense survey and totally irrelevant information being gathered unless Council officers are trying to justify their services even if there are other providers such as Splash Total Fitness etc that provide a better and broader range of activities.
Talk about trying to hide the full picture and get results that justify carrying on.

Brings to mind the “survey”that was done when they were pushing the Arts and cultural hub in 2014, answers very much loaded in favour of the hub.

Its becoming a micky mouse council run by mugwumps (bottom feeders) what with everthing that now seems to be going on behind close doors.
Democracy at work not in this council it would seem.

I agree … suggestion … take a note of your councillor’s name, where he or she holds surgeries (if they do) and then tackle them on the subject of democracy in the way wrexham council operates and how they ‘consult’ with the electorate that fund there excessive remuneration. Then let us all report back here and maybe get rid of the undemocratic dead wood totalitarian misfits on the ‘council’. I think it is time for a peoples revolt … a revolt of the electorate. Rather this than a silent or whining ‘let them get on with it’ attitude. What do you all say?

[/quote] My opinion is that there are not enough of the public interested in getting involved. Maybe if the terms of office were reduced to a term of three years, and that no elected person be allowed to serve longer than that. Could this help get fresh faces and ideas into the running of the Council ?
