Like staff, Councillors must go through the PRCD Appraisal System to make sure they continue to do a good job, so why don’t those that perform deserve a pay rise, iPads and free parking?

Does the free Festive parking mean that the public are allowed to park in the Councillor car park and Crown buildings?
I have been told that the Chief Officer in charge of this is leaving. My guess is that the review will not now happen.
Its a bit like BREXIT! The people want it but the top brass put it off because they don’t want it.

Maybe if Councillors had to find & pay for their own parking spaces, if only for a few months, they would appreciate what members of the public have to put up with, with lifts not working, needles in stair wells, ticket machines not working, limited width spaces etc.
Well surprise surprise that it has been deferred must be so difficult to implement but it just shows what this council is all about look after yourselves as much as possible and two fingers in the face to the taxpayers.
Right on guys and galls you are doing such a grand job in these difficult times your fingers are on the pulse and the brains are working overtime but not for us it seems.I really don’t know why people think that charging Councillors would generate any income- as the car parking is legitimate work expense they would just claim it through their extra expenses claims- surely it would be cash neutral.
It would be interesting to see how many employers in Wrexham County Borough offer free parking to their employees. I expect the majority do if they have space for a car park. Considering it impossible to get a bus into town for the price it costs to park in Wrexham, then it is no brainer that people will continue to want to rely on their cars (which are so much more reliable than our so-called public transport system). It is cheaper for an employer to offer free or subsidized parking than pay an additional wage.
