Congatulations to wrexham.com for bringing about the change to the way the council report on their meetings. Well done to everyone involved.

The live tweets from the council meetings are really useful , it gives a flavour of the meeting. Like today’s discussion on PCSO’s and how they are used.

Seems like common sense to move them around on a need and demand basis rather then a regimented one per ward!

The budget for 2013/14 is £356,150 covers 25% of the wages of the 48 PCSO’s for three years. That roughly works out at a contribution of £6400 per PCSO per year. That would make their salary in the region of £25500 per year unless there are some administrative costs in that figure too.

I think £23k per year was the salary given at the meeting, the other costs were made up of things like pensions etc.

Enjoyed the report of today’s council meeting. Loved the ‘Muppet’ video. Not making any further comment lol
