British Home Stores in Broughton retail park is due for closure. I believe Primark
are taking over their unit. Makes you wonder how safe the other BHS stores are.

Broughton closing at a time of new development and increased footfall with the cinema and new restaurants– BHS are closing 10 stores in the recent announcement.
Does not bode well for Wrexham although with so many empty units in that shopping site they are probably able to negotiate rents downward so may still be profitable.

All BHS stores are up for sale and that is probably a prime site and Primark are willing to pay for it. One sold and another 62 to go !

Sir Philip Green has sold ten leases to Primark. The store staff of those leased premises were informed on Friday. As there is no mention of Wrexham, then we hope they will continue to trade in Wrexham.

Wrexham store is still running at a profit so is at the moment safe.

I’m assuming the information about the Wrexham store being profitable has come from a staff member who has been told to big up the store or does Rondetto have access to store.

God, I’m bored tonight! Is there anyone else alive or did I miss Armageddon again! Must have nodded off, bugger.

Perhaps the fate of the Broughton store will put more people the way of our town centre store. However, we can make the difference by shopping at BHS. It will only be safe if it is profitable, (no matter where the info comes from!)
