Perhaps the time has come for the management of Health in Wales to be returned to Westminster. The
problems in North Wales have long been recognised by the Assembly and they have been unable to find a solution. How will “special measures” achieve improvement? Worryingly more powers are going to be devolved to the Assembly, perhaps they should be put on hold until they prove they up to the job of running the NHS in Wales successfully , could be a long wait !

If WG has a wonderful Management Team just waiting to jump in why have these experts not been in aledy.
When BCU was first established they had to do a 10% budget cut in year one without losing any staff and a management team that had job security for 10 years. It was impossible to make any major management cost savings and senior managers had a task of walking around with files and drink coffee- sorry to be s flippant about health as it is such a serious issue but this is what happened. Doomed from day 1.
In Wrexham we are fortunate as the quality of care in the Maelor generally is very good particularly in an emergency and we also have specialist expertise in Liverpool and Manchester.
As pointed out we no longer have an NHS- why can you have bowel screening at the age of 55 if you live over the border in England when it is 60 in Wales — are we genetically that different between the two countries? Just one example

After the health board has sorted this out PLEASE rename Bestsi Cadwaladr to something like North Wales Health Board as NO Dr or nurse looking at a job advert knows where this is or most cannot even pronounce it. Not even in North Wales.

Loads of places in Wales are unpronouncable. It’s because they use a bloody stupid made-up language.
