What do people make of this?
A few surprising ones in there location-wise, I guess the most shocking was the sheer number. Factor in car vandalism and this would really make for grim reading :(
There was another on fenwick drive the other day as well, so its an ongoing problem.
Perhaps something the local candidates on here can give the 10ps worth on what they would do to help prevent it?

The recent arson attacks in Rose Grove and Fenwick Drive were on cars that belong to serving police officers at those addresses. Look at the list and see where most of the attacks have taken place, Ponciau, Penycae, Wynnstay, Cefn and Ruabon.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that the person carrying out the attacks must live in or around that area.
Last year I reported an attempted arson attack in Llay. The police turned up 4hrs later to the wrong location. That weekend a spate of arson incidents happened in the Llay Gwerselt area. Its not surprising that it is on the increase.
Having read through some of the features recently on Wrexham.com it doesn’t look like this years figures for arson will be any better than last. Are our figures high? How do we compare with other areas in North Wales?
Not sure on normal arson attacks but 91 arson attacks on cars have taken place in Wrexham since 1st April 2011, accounting for over half of the 177 deliberate car fires across North Wales in that period. This was as of April.
Over 50% of deliberate car fires in North Wales since April 2011 have taken place in Wrexham.A very worrying statistic and does not include those graphically pictured on Wrexham.com in the last couple of weeks!
