If I am honest, should an Argos catalogue be delivered to my house, it would end up in the recycling bag along with all the leaflets for pizzas, Indian take-a-ways etc which come with the post & the free Leader. The Phone Book & Yellow pages are never looked at any more either. On the other hand, I do know of someone who reads every page. The bags which come through the door for clothes are handy though, as they just fit my shredder tub.

I posted my 2-pence worth of opinion on the Facebook comments days ago and I can’t believe the issue is still going on here (well actually I can – forums have a longer attention span than Facebook).

These people who are taking disabled/elderly people for lifts to Argos, why are you stopping your support for them just because they cannot access a catalogue? Why aren’t you extending your support further by showing them on a computer/tablet/smartphone the items they are interested in purchasing? Why can’t you then order the items for them online and get it delivered to their homes, surely you would become even more useful and helpful.

Does support for the disabled/elderly come with some kind of technology cut off that leaves them in the dark ages? The advent of the motor car was good for them, but my goodness let’s shield them from the devils that are on the internet.

The easy answer would be have catalogues in one of the Wrexham stores but not in the other. You would of thought Argos would have them in one of the stores rather than tell people to go to Chester.
