Unfortunately with some accidents the ‘victims’ are those people who are driving appropriately but have to react to idiotic driving antics by others. Often the idiotic behavior drivers themselves don’t become the victims and just carry on driving oblivious to carnage left behind.

Always interested in why accidents happen in clusters at certain spots, is there any reason for it or just coincidence?

Not sure of exact location of these but quite often they are by the end of slip road entry and caused by people’s inability to enter a dual c/w correctly. I do quite a lot of driving and see daily, drivers slowing/stopping at the end of slip roads because they are scared of matching the speed of the traffic they are about to join. There are times when also when this is caused by idiot drivers in lane one of dual c/w not moving out to lane 2 when possible or tailgating cars in front so joining cars can’t get in front😠

Is this the sort of bad planning you refer to seen yesterday (Time +1 hour on clip)….

A483 Ruthin Road On Ramp – YouTube

Can’t be bad driving or poor planning looking at the recent leader story.

The Leader – News from Wrexham & Flintshire – Probe ordered after multiple crashes on Wrexham road

It must be speed, its the only thing that causes accidents if you listen to the media and local councils looking to generate funds from speed cameras and vans. Lets make the entire A483 30mph, complete with average speed cameras every 500 yards so no one can speed, then when the accidents still happen maybe we can look at the real cause?

That’s it right there, why stop at the end of a slip road? The other issue is the 2 cars in lane 1 had ample time to spot that car and move to lane 2.

Quite interesting, when you see on this site the most popular topic is “4G” and where you can get a signal….. I picture half of Wrexham driving around with mobiles strapped to their heads looking for the sign…. Or it may just be Regression toward the mean.

. . . . but still keep the 30mph speed limit, camera vans and average speed cameras of course.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Of course, rarely will they admit a mistake.

    Off topic example…..
The B5426, from the A483 to the Plassey, it was National speed limit on a twisty road but then they installed two traffic calming chicanes that were mega dangerous long skid marks from cars, trucks and caravans due to poor visibility giving way to oncoming traffic, so did they realise their mistake and remove them… No they dropped the speed limit to 40mph due to the council/highways now making the road more dangerous. And still the skid marks increase on the road surface.

As far as I have seen, all ‘A’ roads in Wrexham under the Council’s control do not now have National Speed Limits. Every one has a 50mph limit on it. Why does our council see fit to alter the National Speed Limit.

Because they can make more money with a speed camera van, or have been brain washed by the ‘speed kills’ massage. (and if required it’s cheaper than improving a road design)

I’d love to know how much changing all the limits has cost. There will have been meetings, consultations, all the legal side etc then all change of signs road markings etc. Then you get the waste of money ones like in Johnstown. The road from the old Travellers Rest pub out to the landfill site. It is 20 now till you get to the bend at the bottom where it changes to 30, then another 30 yards and it goes to 50. Does common sense not say why don’t we save on signs, markings etc and cut out the 30 part and go from 20 to 50?
As for everywhere in Johnstown, rhos, Penycae all being 20 now, total waste of money.
