Time to dissolve the whole council and it’s management structure and start a fresh. Little if any respect is being given to the community that is served

There is a Full Council Meeting at the end of September with power to stop the demolition providing a proper motion is put on the agenda.

The situation within the Council brings to mind John Major in 1995:-

” Criticism of Major’s leadership reached such a pitch that he chose to resign as Conservative Leader in June 1995 challenging his critics to either back him or challenge him; he was duly challenged by John Redwood but was easily re-elected.”

Perhaps in a few days/ weeks we will all be back to the status quo, no change in the name Leader of the Council but slightly different political allegiances.

I was glad to see the common sense statement made by Clr Hugh Jones this afternoon about the delay in decision making for Plas Madoc. I hope that the SPLASH submission is now strong enough to get the support — with or without the funding request.

So the decision about Plas Madoc is to be taken not by the Full Council but the October Executive Board Meeting something that was not possible in September as it was stated in the meeting it costs £10,000 per week to keep Plas Madoc in a ” moth-balled state”. This Council can do anything but only when it suits them. If the figure is a true one where is the extra £40,000 coming from ? It represents 80% of the money Splash asked for the first year!

Thanks for the correction ! So is that £60,000 up until October 1st so an extra £10,000 until end of October?

I presume it would be less than £10k for the month as originally they had to put steel shutters up — unless that was from another budget heading.

You have hit the nail on the head Liam. Un-elected, toxic with their own private agendas. They care not for anything or anyone .They are few, and have no native affinity with this area or this country.

What is it that has caused 10…historically genuinely decent people…to embark on such an extreme action. Let us stop at that point. …Why?…dedicated Labour people…there has to be a catalyst somewhere? Could we be looking at the whole thing back to front?…that the problem rests with the 13…NOT the 10? A question NOT a statement!
