Be aware
I have just read this and in relation to the Highway Men story recently reported I think you should be aware of this tactic also.

There is a common threat in that article with the " ran out of petrol scam " on the A483 slip road, in that they offer fake jewellery for cash.

The really sad effect of these scams is that people in genuine need of help are going to be ignored.
