North Wales Police are appealing for information after thieves stole two bikes from a garage in Wrexham.

The thieves struck between 10am and 2.15pm yesterday when they forced their way into a garage in the Bersham Bank area of Wrexham and took a hand built bicycle and a scrambler motorbike.

Police are now looking to trace the stolen items; the bicycle has been described as a unique hand-built red Cannondale F500 mountain bike with “headshok” front suspension forks and a rigid frame.

The wheels are black Hope XC hubs, with stainless steel spokes and Mavic X317 graphite rims and the bike is also fitted with Continental Vertical Pro tyres and Avid hydraulic disc brakes.

The thieves also made off with a pit-type scrambler motorcycle with a Honda engine and black and white “urban camouflage” tyres.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
